September 2010 in Paris

Paris gehört zu meinen Lieblingsstädten, jedes Jahr im September verbringe ich ein verlängertes Wochenende dort. Als beim Fat Quarter Shop im November der BOM "Paris in the Fall" gestartet wurde, habe ich mich spontan entschlossen daran teilzunehmen. Der BOM läuft über 6 Monate und wird aus den wunderschöne Stoffe der French General's Maison de Garance collection by Moda Fabrics in meinen Lieblingsfarben gepatcht.

Paris belongs to my favorite towns, I spend every year in September an extended week-end there. When with the Fat Quarter Shop was begun in November the BOM "Paris in the Fall", I have spontaneously resolved to take part in it. The BOM runs 6 months and is sewed from the wonderful materials of the French General's Maison de Garance collection by Moda Fabrics in my favorite colours.
 

Der erste Block ist fertig und ich warte jetzt ganz ungeduldig auf die nächste Lieferung. 

The first block is ready and now I wait quite impatiently for the next delivery. 

Little Patchwork Village fertiggebaut

Ich habe es geschafft, mein kleines Dorf ist fertig. Nach nur zweieinhalb Monaten ist er jetzt vollendet, der Wandquilt "Little Patchwork Village" nach einer Anleitung von Rosalie Quinlan die ich bei Alda gefunden und gekauft habe. Ich glaube, jetzt habe ich mir meinen Bloghintergrund verdient.

I have created it, my small village is ready. Now after only 2,5 months he is completed, the Wall Quilt "Little Patchwork Village" after instructions by Rosalie Quinlan.

Ich habe den Rand etwas anders gestaltet, weil der Quilt an einer weißen Wand hängen wird und ich einen stärkeren Kontrast haben wollte. 

I have formed the edge a little bit differently because the Quilt will hang on a white wall and I wanted to have a stronger contrast.

Meine Candle Mat ist heute angekommen, sie hatte einen weiten Weg aus Südafrika hinter sich. Mit den Stoffen hat Karin genau meinen Geschmack getroffen. Und das Quilting ist wunderschön. Außerdem waren noch viele liebe Beigaben dabei. Danke Karin, du hast mir eine sehr große Freude gemacht.

Today my Candle Mat has come, she had a wide way from South Africa behind herself. With the fabricss Karin has met exactly my taste. And the Quilting is wonderful. Moreover, still many dear additions were present. Thank you Karin, you have given a very big pleasure to me.

Die von mir genähte Candel Mat ist diese Woche auch bei Cara in Kanada angekommen. Sie war über 4 Wochen unterwegs. Ich hatte schon Angst, dass sie unterwegs in den Atlantik gefallen war.

The Candel Mat sewed by me this week has also come with Cara in Canada. She was on the move more than four weeks. I already had fear that it had liked on the way in the Atlantic.

Wichteln bei den QF

Am Montag war bei den QF's großes Wichteln angesagt, meine Wichteline war Patchbea. Sie hat mich mit einer tollen Tasche für meine Stricknadeln, einem "angezogenen" Terminkalender und einer genähten Weihnachtskarte überrascht.
